OCBS STEELHEAD FLY FISHING OUTING
FALL LEG RESULTS
The fall leg of the Steelhead Fly Fishing Outing was held on Sunday, 26 October 2014. A perfect day for fishing the Ohio tributaries with seasonal temperatures and fair to good stream conditions. The streams held good numbers of fresh fish that came in with last week’s rain event. The fish however were not cooperative and it proved to be a tough day for anglers.
A total of five fish were checked in for the outing.
Congratulations to Joe Charief who placed first with a two fish totaling 49” in length. Rob Smith came in second with a 27.5” steelhead and Daniel Platz placed third with a 25” fish.
All fish were caught in the east side tributaries.
The final leg of the Fly Outing will be held on 29 March 2015 and all contestants have a good opportunity of finishing second or third in the overall standings.
