OCBS STEELHEAD FLY FISHING OUTING
FALL LEG RESULTS
The Fall leg of the Steelhead Fly Fishing Outing was held on 27 October 2013. A perfect day for fishing with mild temperatures, light breezes and minimal leaf fall. Stream conditions however were less than ideal with the Eastside streams running high and the Westside streams with minimal flow making things tough for anglers.
A total of two fish were checked in for the outing.
Congratulations to Rob Smith who placed first with a 26.25 “ steelhead and Monte Casey who came in second with a 24.00” steelhead. Rob’s fish came from an Eastside stream and Monty’s catch came from a Western trib.
The final leg of the outing will be held on 13 April 2014 and the third place overall position is wide open. Be sure to mark your calendar and participate in this event.
