This season’s OCBS Steelhead Tournament is dedicated to the memory of David K. Esner, a long-time Ohio Steelheader Member who passed away on May 6, 2018.

Since our meetings will be virtual to start the season, all contestants will need to register for the tournament via mail for this year’s tournament using the registration form provided below. Check in will be modified to permit members to call or text their catch to the Tournament Director.

Entry fee is $15.00 per participant.

2021 to 2022 OCBS Steelhead Tournament Series
Leg #1 - November 7, 2021 Results

The 1st Leg of the OCBS “Members Only” Steelhead Tournament was held on Sunday 7 November 2021.  A mild day with air temperatures in the low 60’s with water temps in the mid 40’s.

Good numbers of fish were reported being caught several days prior to the Tournament; however, it was a slow bite on Tournament Day.

A total of 16 fish, twenty-four inches or greater were checked in.

Congratulations to Adam Hillman who placed first in the event with 2 fish totaling 59.00 inches in length.

2021 to 2022 OCBS Steelhead Tournament Series
Leg #2 - November 21, 2021 Results

The 2nd Leg of the OCBS “Members Only” Steelhead Tournament was held on Sunday 21 November 2021. It was an overcast day with rain showers starting around 11:00 AM.   Air and stream temperatures were in the low 40’s. and the legacy streams were very fishable with good flow, clarity and were relatively leaf free.   Angler’s reported having double digit hookups which made up for the chilly wet weather conditions.

A total of 33 fish 24 inches or greater in length were checked in by 17 anglers. The largest fish caught measured 30.75 inches.  Anglers also reported catching good numbers of fish measuring under 24 inches.
