Modern Spey Fishing is a complete guide to contemporary Spey casting and fishing techniques made possible through current advancements in equipment and line designs. The book  thoroughly covers in understandable terms today’s Spey lines and heads while diving in deep to discuss various presentation techniques for both two-hand and single-hand approaches.

Hunting Musky with a Fly is a complete guide to musky fly-fishing. Musky have been called the fish of 10,000 casts and are one of the most challenging, yet rewarding fish to catch on a fly. This book gives advice about the right equipment, rigging, and flies, as well as the mental and physical preparation needed to hunt musky with a fly.

Advanced Fly Fishing for Great Lakes Steelhead is the most up-to-date book on strategy and technique, as well as providing a foundation for all fly anglers. The book covers more advanced concepts to the Great Lakes region such as how to effectively use switch and two-handed rods, swinging flies, and new fly patterns by some of the region’s top tyers.

Reflections on the Water is one angler’s account of memories and thoughts experienced in half a lifetime of fly fishing. “The passion of the pursuit has fueled a wonderfully fulfilling journey that provides influence, significance, and levity”

Speaker: Roger Hinchcliff, lamiglas pro staff & steelhead manifesto
Topic: Fishing for Steelhead With Hardware

Roger Hinchcliff began fishing the river banks in Southeast Michigan over 38 years ago. Considered an authority on steelhead fishing, he loves sharing his expertise with other anglers.

Roger is a featured speaker, a popular blogger, and the successful author of many published magazine articles. Roger also has several instructional videos on his YouTube Channel, Steelhead Manifesto, and two Facebook pages; an entertainment page—with memes and fish photos—which gets a lot of visitors each month, and a forum page—a place to discuss tips, tricks, and tactics, among other topics.

Roger’s passion for chasing steelhead all around the Great Lakes region, he says, started at first bite. He now spends every weekend—10 months each year—chasing and catching steelhead in Wisconsin, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, the Olympic Peninsula in Washington, and Michigan.

Roger is a pro staffer for several fishing companies; belongs to many outdoors/fishing organizations; and he offers his time to various conservation projects and river cleanups. Roger Helped design “The Closer Rod Series 2017” for Lamiglas Rods and won River Angler of the Year in 2013.

Roger will talk about steelhead fishing with hardware such as spinners, spoons and lures.

This will be another great meeting that you will not want to miss.
