OCBS STEELHEAD FLY FISHING OUTING

SPRING LEG RESULTS

The Spring leg of the Steelhead Fly Fishing Outing was held on 13 April 2014. A beautiful day with above normal temperatures and light breezes; a welcome relief from the harsh winter and below normal spring temperatures. All the primary rivers were out of shape with high flow rates. However good numbers of fresh fish were found in the feeder streams and creeks. Several anglers reported double digit hook ups.

A total of twenty-one fish were checked in for the outing.

Congratulations to John Kozlowski who placed first with a two fish total of 60.5 inches. Daniel Platz placed second with two fish measuring 59.0 inches and Pat Watroba came in third with two fish measuring 30“ and 27 inches.
