OCBS Steelhead Fishing Tournament Results
November 2, 2025 Leg

The 1^st leg of the OCBS “Members Only” Steelhead Tournament was held Sunday 2 November 2025. It was a beautiful fall day with temperatures in the upper fifties.

The legacy streams, with the exception of the Grand and Conneaut Creek, were in good shape after a significant rain event earlier in the week. Water temps were in the high 40’s reaching 50 F later in the day. Fair numbers of fresh fish were scattered throughout the river systems.

A total of 27 Steelhead were checked-in by 18 anglers.

Congratulations to Ken Harper who placed first with two 28.50” fish totaling 57 inches in length.

The 2^ndTournament Leg will take place on Sunday 23 November 2025.

This season’s OCBS Steelhead Tournament is dedicated to the memory of David K. Esner, a long-time Ohio Steelheader Member who passed away on May 6, 2018.

Our annual OCBS Steelhead Fishing tournament is for OCBS members only. If not a member, you are welcome to join OCBS in order to register for the tournament.

Members can register for this year’s tournament as follows:

Online: Complete online registration form and credit card payment on the righthand section of this page.
OCBS Meetings: You can register and pay in person at our monthly meetings.

All participants are required to fish with another OCBS member who is in the tournament and is responsible for verifying the length of each fish checked in.

Check in has been modified to permit members to call or text their catch to the Tournament Director.

Entry fee is $20.00 per participant.
