OCBS December 15, 2024 Steelhead Tournament Results
The 3rd Leg of the OCBS “Members Only” Steelhead Tournament was held Sunday 15 December 2024. IT was a cold rainy day with freezing rain in the morning transitioning to rain throughout the day.
The Legacy streams were coming into shape after significant snow melt earlier in the week. Water temps were in the low 30’s forcing anglers to concentrate on the deeper wintering holes.
A total of 33 fish were checked-in by 19 diehard steelheaders.
Congratulations to Adam Hillman who placed First with two fish totaling 59.00 inches in length.
The 4th Tournament Leg will take place on Sunday 2 March 2025; Be sure to save the date.

OCBS November 24, 2024 Steelhead Tournament Results
The 2nd Leg of the OCBS “Members Only” Steelhead Tournament was held on Sunday 24 November 2024. An overcast day with temps in the low 40’s. A perfect day to be Steelheading.
The Legacy Streams had elevated water levels and poor turbidity due to a much-needed rain event the previous two days.
Anglers who concentrated their efforts on the feeder streams caught fish.
Twenty-nine fish were checked in by 17 anglers. The largest fish caught measured 30.75 inches.
Congratulations to Casey Smith who won the Leg with two fish totaling 54.75”s in length.
The 3rd Tournament Leg will be held on Sunday 15 December 2024. Be sure to save the date.

OCBS November 10, 2024 Steelhead Tournament Results
The 1st Leg of the OCBS “Members Only” Steelhead Tournament was held on Sunday 10 November 2024. It was a rainy day with air temperatures in the high-fifties.
Streams were at record lows with minimal flow. Water temps were in the mid-fifties with good clarity and moderate leaf hatch. Fish were staged in the harbor areas waiting for improved stream flows
A total of 33 steelhead were checked in by 19 anglers. The largest fish caught was 32 inches.
Congratulations to Ken Harper who won Leg 1 with two fish totaling 60.25 inches in length.
The 2nd Tournament Leg will take place on Sunday 24 November 2024. Be sure to save the date.

This season’s OCBS Steelhead Tournament is dedicated to the memory of David K. Esner, a long-time Ohio Steelheader Member who passed away on May 6, 2018.

Our annual OCBS Steelhead Fishing tournament is for OCBS members only. If not a member, you are welcome to join OCBS in order to register for the tournament.
Members can register for this year’s tournament as follows:
- US Postal Service: Print the below registration form, fill it out and mail with check for payment to OCBS PO Box 29577 Parma, OH 44129.
- Online: Complete online registration form and credit card payment on the righthand section of this page.
- OCBS Meetings: You can register and pay in person at our monthly meetings.
All participants are required to fish with another OCBS member who is in the tournament and is responsible for verifying the length of each fish checked in.
Check in has been modified to permit members to call or text their catch to the Tournament Director.
Entry fee is $20.00 per participant.
